UPSC Engineering Services Exam 2024: Final Results Announced with 206 Candidates Recommended for Appointment
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the results of the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024, held in June, followed by the Personality Test conducted in October-November 2024. The final list of candidates recommended for appointment to various services and posts has been released, highlighting the total number of 206 successful candidates across multiple engineering disciplines.
Breakdown of Recommended Candidates by Discipline:
Civil Engineering: 92 candidates (Including 04 PwBD-1 candidates)
Mechanical Engineering: 18 candidates (Including 02 PwBD-1 candidates)
Electrical Engineering: 26 candidates (Including 02 PwBD-1 candidates)
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (E&T): 70 candidates (Including 02 PwBD-1 and 01 PwBD-2 candidates)
Total Vacancies:
A total of 251 vacancies have been reported for appointment in various Group 'A' and 'B' services. These include positions in civil, mechanical, electrical, and electronics & telecommunication engineering fields, with a portion of the vacancies reserved for candidates with disabilities (PwBD).
Provisional Candidature:
The candidature of 43 successful candidates has been listed as provisional, meaning their final appointment is subject to verification of eligibility and documentation. The detailed list of provisional candidates across all disciplines, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and E&T, has been included in the official notification.
Reserve List:
As per the UPSC rules, a consolidated Reserve List has been maintained for each discipline, with a total of 82 candidates placed in the reserve pool for future appointments.

Civil Engineering: 113 total vacancies, including 04 reserved for PwBD-1 candidates.
